Kia ora koutou,

Here is the home learning for this week. You'll find a new story to begin the week with and a few activities that should keep you busy. Unfortunately, some of our activities are meant to be completed outside. The later activities are more suited inside, you might like to start there until the weather gets better.

Home Learning Term 2 Week 4

I have also included another page of learning links that you might want to explore. We have carefully selected a number of websites that focus on a wide range of areas, from maths to animals and art.

Fingers crossed we will all be back at school soon!

Term 1

Tuesday 24 March

Kia ora koutou,

Thankyou for your ongoing support during this time. We don’t want to create extra anxiety or stressAs a team we have decided on the following guidelines for any home learning.

  • Optional

  • Easy - encouraging

  • Low pressure/stress

  • Manageable amount

  • Off-line options

Learning tasks will be sent out on a Monday for the whole week. We have designed these to be completed independently. There is no one way to complete each task and we are encouraging children to be creative.

You do not need to complete everything provided and you may structure the tasks in a way that works for you and your child. We will be in brief daily contact with your child so we can keep in touch and support the children.

We were able to give out a number of books yesterday to those children who were at school. For those who were not here, we have some readers available for collection tomorrow. Teachers will be located in Tui block tomorrow morning from 9:00 - 10:30am to hand these out. Please follow physical distancing guidelines. We have also provided reading options within our home learning slides which will be sent out tomorrow.

Within these slides, you will also find a number of useful websites you might like to explore.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Ngā mihi nui
